Musical Director Vacancy

The Chelsea Concert Band is currently seeking applications for the position of Musical Director.

The Chelsea Concert Band is a community band, consisting of approximately 20 regular players of all ages and grades who play woodwind, brass or percussion instruments and music from popular to traditional styles. The band is non-competing (ungraded) and performs throughout the year at concerts, civic events, community engagements, promotions etc.

Duties of the Musical Director include:

Selecting repertoire for rehearsals and performances
Developing the musicianship of band members
Procurement of new music
Participation in the band’s management committee

Applicants should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and include a Resume or CV containing relevant qualifications and experience and Referees.
